Van Groover are a German stoner rock and desert rock band from Giessen (Hesse). The band’s sound is characterised by extremely powerful riffs, raspy vocals and a bone-dry, V8-fuelled energy that draws heavily on the ‘van life’ – that is, the rough-and-tumble existence on the road, complete with constant breakdowns and trips to the garage.
Following a brief break-up at the end of 2024, the trio completely reformed for 2026. Only the founder remained on board.
The band blends classic, down-tuned stoner rock with elements of sludge, heavy rock and doom metal.
