With the Strombad, we have found a great venue that Cottbus residents are already familiar with as an event and leisure oasis and, with its ideal location, excellent infrastructure and romantic atmosphere, provides the perfect setting for this festival. The proximity to the city as well as the good accessibility for national guests are further plus points for the site.
The Chekov, which is also located on the site, offers an ideal opportunity to hold an after-show party after the open-air concerts without disturbing the local residents.
Eliaspark is located directly nearby and we are aiming to use it as a campsite. We are currently still in the negotiation process,
but the forecasts so far are optimistic.
And we will need a campsite, because in addition to the citizens of the city and the surrounding area, we also want to encourage guests from further afield to visit the festival. This should also create added value for Cottbus and Lusatia in terms of tourism, as we are the only festival of its kind in the region to date and want to present the advantages of the local cultural landscape to numerous guests from outside.
