The Blue Moon Festival officially starts on Friday, 31 July and ends on Sunday, 2 August. On Thursday, 30 July 2026, there will be another Warm-Up-Session at Checkov.

We are working hard on the line-up and will announce the first artists soon.

Please find below some important informations.

If you are coming as a member of the press, please register using the link below. We will then consider whether to allow you onto the premises with a press or photo ID. Click here for accreditation.

If you bring generators with you, please make sure that they are in perfect working order and do not leak oil or fuel. Maximum amount of fuel: 20 litres – and only in a designated canister!

And please don't let them run for 24 hours straight; your neighbours on the site want to be able to sleep in peace. Thank you!

The nearest airports are BER, Dresden and Leipzig. However, for environmental reasons, we kindly ask you to avoid flying if possible.

The campsite is open from Thursday at 6 p.m. It is open until Monday morning. By then, you should have packed your belongings and taken out the rubbish.

We do not tolerate discriminatory or abusive behaviour at Blue Moon. Anyone who does not respect other people's boundaries or makes discriminatory comments will be asked to leave. If you witness any unpleasant situations, please contact our staff immediately, for example at the bar or security.

Our security staff are trained in awareness and can take care of you if you need them to. Just let us know! The Blue Moon should be a great experience for all guests, so look out for each other and report any incidents.

Analog and digital compact cameras, as well as cell phones with camera functions, are permitted everywhere. However, SLR cameras with interchangeable lenses, professional video cameras, tape recorders, MD players, or similar devices are prohibited on the festival grounds without a press photo pass.

So folks, the campsite has finally been decided.
You can come to the warm-up on Thursday from 6 p.m. and pitch your tents.

On Friday, we will open the campsite at 2 p.m.
We will have to clear the campsite on Monday morning, so please be ready to leave.

Please register for camping at the entrance and follow the instructions of our team!

We have two sites for tent-only campers: Immen. For camper vans, buses, motorcycles and people who want to camp next to their cars, campsite 3 is available.

If you don't absolutely need to camp next to your car, please park your car in one of the car parks on Parzellenstraße or Stromstraße.

Open fires are prohibited throughout the entire site! Barbecuing is also prohibited!

Whether you can park your cars at the campsite will become clear in the next few weeks.

There are numerous free parking spaces on Parzellenstraße and Stromstraße.

Unfortunately, the car parks at the stadium and the nearby exhibition hall are subject to charges.

The nearest cash machines are at the main railway station and in the town centre.

Please respect our security and crew members. We all work hard to ensure you have a good time. Mutual respect is the least that should be present at a festival.

Unfortunately, the festival area cannot be reached by bus or tram – you will need to allow for a 15-20 minute walk.

By train and bus from the main station
Trains run hourly from Berlin, Dresden, and Frankfurt (Oder) – from Leipzig every two hours.
Flix and other long-distance buses stop at the main station.
From the main station/bus station, turn left onto Vetschauer Straße.
Vetschauer Straße then becomes Stadtring.
Follow Stadtring until just before the Spree.
There you will see the Strombad on the left side of the street.
A bike path leads from the Stadtring down to the Strombad.
If you continue straight ahead, you will come to the campsite behind the “Stadion der Freundschaft,” also on the left side of the street.

By train and bus from the “Cottbus Sandow” stop
If you are coming from Frankfurt (Oder), you can get off at the Sandow stop.
Leave the platform and turn right towards the park railway/Stadion der Freundschaft.
Follow the path to the city ring road, walk straight ahead under a small underpass towards Eliaspark.
At the large intersection, continue straight ahead on the city ring road.
You will then see the campsite on your right.
To get to the festival, walk past the stadium and across the Spree.
You will see the Strombad on your right.
Follow the bike path down from the Stadtring to the entrance.

By car:
Use your navigation system ;-)

There are numerous free parking spaces on Parzellenstraße and Stromstraße. The parking spaces at the stadium and the nearby exhibition hall are subject to a fee.

By bike:
The Strombad is located directly on the Spree cycle path. Maybe some of you would like to give it a try =)

Here you can find all the information you need about public transport in Cottbus:
vbb.de and cottbusverkehr.de/

Dogs are not permitted on the concert grounds. However, you may bring them to the campsite, provided that you keep an eye on your pets at all times and ensure that they do not disturb or injure other guests!

However, we recommend that you leave your furry friends at home!

The campsite will not be a quiet place either. This may be very stressful for the animals and other guests.

Drinking horns and studded belts are permitted on the concert grounds (as well as on the campsite).

The concert venue opens its doors one hour before the first band of the day takes to the stage.

We will exchange the stub of your ticket for the festival wristband directly at the ticket office. The festival wristband must be shown to security personnel upon request and may not be removed during the festival. Campsite guests will receive a separate wristband that grants them access to the campsite.

Open fires are prohibited throughout the entire grounds! Barbecuing is also prohibited!

As every year, paramedics will be stationed at and around the concert venue. Nevertheless, please take care of yourselves and remember to drink enough fluids in hot weather and to protect yourselves against horseflies and mosquitoes, of which we have many on the Spree.

As every year, we will be providing food and drink for your physical well-being. There will be plenty of choice at fair prices for both meat lovers and vegans at the concert venue, so bringing your own food and drink of any kind to the festival grounds is prohibited. Only empty plastic cups are allowed.

You are, of course, welcome to bring any amount of food and drink to the camping area.

Free admission is granted to all young people between the ages of 0 and 16. Visitors aged 17 and over pay the full admission price.

Glass bottles are prohibited on the concert grounds (for permitted items, see "Food and Beverages" above)!
In general, glass bottles may be brought onto the campsite. However, broken bottles naturally create significantly more waste and require more effort to collect, so we ask you to switch to cans or plastic containers whenever possible. In general, we would be grateful if you would only purchase returnable bottles that you can take with you afterwards. This will not only benefit our crew, but also the environment!

If you want to miss out on the great atmosphere at the campsite and prefer to stay in a hotel or guesthouse, that's fine too. The city offers a wide range of different accommodation options.

The information point is located at the ticket office. Here you can get all the latest information and collect any lost items that have been handed in to us.

Anyone who finds something can and should hand it in at the ticket office. Anyone who has lost something should also ask there whether it has been handed in.

At the concert venue, we have a shopping area where you can purchase all merchandise from both the festival and all performing bands. If you missed out on buying festival merchandise at the festival, you can catch up here soon.

The nearest pharmacies are located at Straße der Jugend 58 and Blechen-Carrée.

The nearest police stations are located on Juri-Gagarin-Straße and Bonnaskenplatz. You will find the federal police at the main railway station.

There are scattered post boxes throughout the city. Post offices can be found at the main railway station, at Berliner Straße 6, on Spremberger Straße and at Georg-Schlesinger-Straße 1c.

We do not tolerate any racist or fascist ideas at Blue Moon. Anyone who doesn't understand this and thinks they can spout discriminatory remarks or carry around relevant symbols will be thrown out or should not come in the first place!!!

The next station is Cottbus Central Station. If you are coming from Frankfurt (Oder), you can also get off at Cottbus Sandow.

We will announce the running order in good time before the festival, although experience has shown that there may be a few changes here and there. Just check back regularly to make sure you are up to date! You will find the latest version here soon.

We do not tolerate any sexist, misogynistic, homophobic or transphobic behaviour at Blue Moon. Anyone who touches other visitors' bottoms or other body parts or engages in other gender-discriminatory behaviour on the festival grounds (including the campsite and beach) will be expelled from the festival. We want all guests to be able to enjoy the festival undisturbed, regardless of their gender.

If you experience any form of assault or feel uncomfortable in any way, please contact our awareness team.

There are shower facilities on the festival grounds, which are both accessible and separated by gender. There are also plenty of medical facilities available.

We cannot yet say exactly what the conditions will be like at the campsite. More information to follow!

Of course, music is part of sensible festival camping. However, please be considerate of your tent neighbours and do not play music too loudly or for too long at night and in the morning.

You can jump into the River Spree directly from the festival grounds. The water here is usually very clear and pleasant. Swimming is at your own risk. Be sensible and do not go into the water drunk or otherwise intoxicated. We have a lifeguard on site, but they cannot see everything at once, so please look out for each other.

Keep an eye on your wallets and valuables! Unfortunately, we cannot accept liability for everything. Please keep them with you or lock them in your cars.

All ticket information can be found here.

There are plenty of toilets and urinals, which are cleaned every morning. There will also be a few flush toilets on the festival grounds. Please be considerate of your fellow festival-goers. This means leaving the toilets clean and tidy, because everyone likes to use a clean toilet and will need to do so at some point during the three-day festival. Thank you.

It is prohibited to trade in items of any kind unless otherwise agreed with the festival organisers.

Traders should send their enquiries to mail@bluemoonfestival.de.

Anyone who causes trouble, injures others, makes threats and/or carries weapons is not welcome on our premises and will be removed!

The eternal topic of rubbish. Of course, lots of people means lots of rubbish. We will be distributing blue bin bags at the ticket booth, so there is no reason to dispose of cans and other rubbish in the countryside. It has worked all these years, so why not in the future? A little tip: buy reusable bottles or cans and return them after the festival. It's up to you whether we have to introduce a "rubbish deposit" or similar surcharge.

The festival will take place regardless of weather conditions. However, if weather conditions pose a risk to the physical safety or health of guests, staff or artists, Blue Moon will be cancelled immediately. In this case, as well as in the event of cancellation of the festival for other reasons of force majeure, official order or court decision, as well as in the event of danger to festival visitors due to misconduct by others or in the event of imminent escalation due to excessive crowds, there shall be no entitlement to refunds or compensation, unless the organiser can be charged with intent or gross negligence.
